An Elite Summer Basketball League in Erie, PA for Ages 8-18
The Best of the Best Summer League is a premier 5-week summer basketball league held annually in Erie, Pennsylvania. The league offers an exciting combination of competitive basketball games, professional workshops, and mentorship opportunities designed to keep youth athletes active, engaged, and on the path to success both on and off the court.
Each summer, the Best of the Best Summer League brings together over 200 youth athletes from Erie and surrounding areas for five weeks of competitive basketball, skill-building workshops, and college preparation activities. Our league is designed to provide youth with not only an athletic outlet but also the tools to navigate their future by learning essential life skills such as applying for college, securing financial aid, and developing career pathways.

Our Offerings
Competitive Basketball Games:
- What’s Included: Every Saturday, the league features competitive basketball games, officiated by PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) referees, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and fairness.
- Why It Matters: These competitive games allow youth athletes to showcase their skills in a supportive yet challenging environment, promoting healthy competition and teamwork.
College Application & Financial Aid Workshops:
- What’s Included: Workshops led by college advisors cover everything from applying to college to understanding financial aid, scholarships, and how to secure funding for higher education.
- Why It Matters: These workshops bridge the gap for many youth athletes who may not otherwise have access to critical college and financial aid information, opening doors for higher education and career opportunities.
Advisors on Campus:
- What’s Included: College advisors are on-site every Saturday to offer mentorship, provide personalized advice, and guide students through their academic and athletic goals.
- Why It Matters: On-the-ground support ensures that athletes and their families receive the one-on-one attention they need to prepare for life after high school.
Mentorship & Personal Development:
- What’s Included: Beyond basketball, our program includes discussions on goal setting, personal development, and leadership. Athletes gain invaluable insights into success both on and off the court.
- Why It Matters: These mentorship sessions teach young athletes essential life skills such as time management, responsibility, and the importance of education in achieving their dreams.
