Athletes Meeting Excellence Leadership Academy

Athletes Meeting Excellence Leadership Academy The AME Leadership Academy is a three-weekend course designed to equip rising sophomores with life management skills, information, and tools related to sex education, drugs awareness, and financial literacy.

Service Leadership Pioneers Program

Service Leadership Pioneers Program The Service Leadership Pioneers (SLP) program will teach the ultimate leadership trait- Service. We believe that by serving others it will bring humility to the student athletes and teach them how to be good stewards in the community. The service opportunities will range from feeding the hungry, clothing drive, and toy drives. Our outreach program will not only teach leadership skills but will also strengthen character. More importantly, we will educate students that college scholarships are given to those that serve the community and will hopefully inspire our young adults to want to serve more.

AME Flag Football League

AME Flag Football League is for grades 2-12 and is an opportunity for kids to be taught the fundamentals of football. This league is a 6-week league during the spring. Our hope is for the kids in this league to have fun with friends and learn the basis of teamwork. We believe football is the ultimate team sport, but many kids don’t experience it because of its violent nature. This league will be the opportunity for kids to be coached, to be a part of a team, and build relationships.

Travel Football

Travel Football is for grades 2 -12 and is an opportunity for kids to learn the fundamentals of football before entering high school. This team will expose kids from inner city communities about traveling and experiencing other cultures. We believe in building well-balanced individuals that are well-traveled. This League will take place from September – November.

Best of The Best Summer League

Best of The Best Summer League are for grades 2-12. This is an opportunity for kids to be involved in the game of basketball at local parks. The league will take place over the course of 9 weeks starting in July. During these 2 months, kids will have the opportunity to learn teamwork and basketball fundamentals.

Ties that Bind for Success

Ties that Bind for Success is for all participants in Athletes Meeting Excellence Inc. This will be our annual opportunity to teach how to be interview ready and have the opportunity to pick out suits and ties along with dress suits provided by different leaders in the community. This program will give the kids in our program the confidence they need to be successful while interviewing for their aspiring career.

Nutritional (Healthy Strong Athletes)

Nutritional (Healthy Strong Athletes) is an informative class that teaches how to stay healthy year around, especially in the off season.  This class will teach nutritional facts, the importance of being drug free, and how to effectively use supplements as a student-athlete. This program will be in connection with other programs to ensure all of our student-athletes are exposed to nutritional facts. We believe in order to play at a high level and live a fulfilled life, the body must be healthy and strong.

The Main Event

The Main Event will be a middle school and high school tournament that will take place during the off-season of basketball. This event is catered to keep student-athletes involved in the sport year-round and allows them to increase their skills and knowledge of the game. This event is important to all we do because it keeps the kids engaged and away from the things that are of no value to them. The main event is a time for fellowship as a community because everyone’s invited to take part in the event. The main event will have a slam dunk contest, a 3-point shoot-out, face painting, giveaways, and prizes.

Best of The Best Baseball Combine

Best of The Best Baseball Combine are for grades 4-12 and will teach the fundamentals of baseball. Participants in this Combine will have the opportunity to learn how to play the game. The Combine is an 8-week combine that will take place during November and December in Atlanta, GA only.

Regional Skills Developmental Camps

Regional Skills Developmental Camps are for grades 6-12 and bring kids from the different regions to learn the fundamentals of basketball. We believe in order to effectively bring change in the community you must surround yourself with like-minded individuals so kids from this camp will be around other kids local and regional. The regional Skills Developmental Camp will teach the fundamentals and bring in top college recruiters and high school evaluators to bring about more college exposure to the kids. This camp will also bring in guest speakers and motivational speakers to inspire the kids to continue to work hard. We believe the relationships that will be built at this camp will be the most important aspect of this camp.

Athletes Meeting Excellence Skills Academy

Athletes Meeting Excellence Skills Academy ranges from ages 7-18 and is centered not only around basketball fundamentals, but will also teach life skills, such as how to set goals, how to tie a tie, and healthy eating habits. In addition to life skills, student athletes that attend this academy will also be educated on NCAA clearinghouse eligibility rules, which will set them on the right foot towards obtaining a college scholarship.

“I Will Succeed” AME Tutoring Academic Pledge and Tutoring

“I Will Succeed” AME Tutoring Academic Pledge and Tutoring– Tutoring Sessions that will allow high school students to be tutored by college students. Our hope is to have this as a pledge that all our student athletes are involved. In order to effectively change academically, you must develop good habits, this includes staying on top of all sessions to learn at a faster and effective rate. This Pledge will help change the high school dropout rate and get kids college educations.

5 on 5 AME Skills Challenge (Basketball)

5 on 5 AME Skills Challenge (Basketball) are for grades 9-12 during the fall months right before the season and spring months right after the season. The challenge will be one weekend in October and one weekend in March and is geared to get the kids excited and confident about the upcoming high school tryouts and improving for the upcoming year. The Skills Challenge is a chance for kids to hone their skills through drills and by playing 5 on 5 full basketball court. Participants in this Challenge will get free skill evaluations to help them know where they need to improve before the upcoming season.

7 on 7 AME Skills Challenge (Football)

7 on 7 AME Skills Challenge (Football) are for grades 9-12 during the fall months right after the season and spring months before the season. The challenge will be one weekend in February and one weekend in July and is geared to get the kids excited and confident about the upcoming high school tryouts and improving for next year. The Skills Challenge is a chance for kids to hone their skills through drills and by playing 7 on 7 football. Participants in this Challenge will get free skills evaluations to help them know where they need to improve before the upcoming season.
